We turn words into deeds! Together with our employees, we are involved in lots of social projects around the world.
For our social projects, we prefer to engage locally, directly in the regions of our sites. We can take an active part in the processes while providing sustainable support and long-term benefits to the people living here.
In the winter time, the north of the country may have temperatures of zero degrees. A house costs around $1,500, including a water pump and separate toilet. This is almost unaffordably expensive for workers. The housing project is around five hours away from Dhaka and is actively supported by Wendler.
In China, our production company "Haihui" has a partnership with the Nantong University. We encourage talented students by paying their education fees. To date, thirty young people have received a Haihui scholarship. We look forward to support many more.
Education never stopps! That is why the educational project for young people is particularly important to us. In Bangladesh, we support one hundred and fifty children and young people in their schooling and university education.
In Indonesia we supported the construction of a student residence with a donation. The residence was built by Serikat Maria Monfort (SMM), a Catholic community.
We were able to support a hospital in Bangladesh by collecting glasses for the patients. The chairman of one of our partner companies, Mr Faruk-al-Nasir of Shanin Clothing Ltd., is a long-time advocate of the hospital and he inspired us to take part in the project.
"We keep our promises."
