Fashionable, slim fit shirts are increasingly made of elastic shirt fabrics. We have developed a new innovative finishing to support these qualities with it´s advantages.
Special finishing for stretch shirts
The stretchable finishing is based on our fusible DV Line and is ideal for collar processing.
- Our DV Line EL has the elastic effect in weft direction and needs to be processed accordingly during production process - suitable for collars, particularly for collar bands
- More than 10% weft elasticity (at 20N)
- Additional width up to one collar size is possible
- Additional brushed finishing for maximum softness and wearing comfort
Our recommendations
In order to support the shirt’s elasticity perfectly and to match these advantages with the collar processing, we recommend
- Fusible DV Line EL especially for collar bands
- Lightweight to medium, fusible cotton interlining with an extra soft and brushed finishing for collar parts and cuffs
- Alternatively, lightweight uncoated interlining with an extra soft and brushed finishing
- Very lightweight and soft fusible cotton or polyester interlining for front plackets
